Land Use Plan
A public hearing has been scheduled for August 10 at 7:00 PM. Members of the Zoning Committee and Planning Commission will conduct the meeting to provide a brief overview and respond to questions if any. You may read the final draft of the plan here.

As required by State Statute 66.0407, and Town Board Resolutions 2007-3 and 2012-9, official notice is hereby given to persons who own, occupy or control lands within the Town of Presque Isle that they are required by law to destroy all noxious weeds (Canada thistle, leafy spurge, field bindweed, creeping jenny, garlic mustard, and Japanese knotweed) on such property at such time and in such manner as will effectually prevent such plants from maturing to bloom or flower stage.

Recommendations for Use of the Community Room
Choose outdoor venues over indoor spaces if possible.
If the Community Room is used:• Please ensure the area is well-ventilated. This means open windows, not doors to keep mice out.
• Minimize crowding to ensure physical distancing between people of 6 feet.
• Provide hand hygiene station (hand sanitizer, tissues, closed-lid garbage, masks)
• eliminate need for shared items or congregating around serving tables.
• Masks are recommended

Proposed Ordinance Governing Hazardous Wakes
The Town Board will be considering Ordinance 2020-4 Hazardous Wakes at upcoming meetings. Be aware that these Regular Town Board meetings are for the purpose of conducting town business and not to be considered public hearings. The Condition Report gives additional information. Your opinions can be documented in brief emails sent to the Town Clerk. Here are the DNR's response to the original draft and the Town Attorney's letter.

Hazardous Waste
The Transfer Station has a sand pad that is ready to accept your yard waste and compostable items. Enter through the gate to the right of the building and look for the sand pad on your right. You will see a sign that identifies acceptable and unacceptable compost materials. Please ask the attendant for more information or see the handouts available at the Transfer Station.
